Description
No. 77 Foregate Street is a small town house that has been converted into a shop and storage space. It dates from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame with plaster panels and a red clay tile roof. It has two storeys and one bay.
The ground floor likely has a 19th-century shopfront, which includes three horizontally proportioned timber-framed panels beneath a three-pane window with moulded mullions. To the right, there is a modern glazed door with a one-pane overlight. The first floor slightly jetties out and has a middle rail with seven herringbone-strutted panels both below and above, along with a three-light leaded casement window. The eaves feature a coved jetty. The rear of the building is constructed of brick and has been partly rebuilt.
Inside, the surfaces are covered, and there are no visible features of special interest.
