Description
Shocklach Hall is a farmhouse built in the 1850s, constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond with grey slate roofs. The building has two storeys plus attics and is a substantial part of a mid-19th century model farm. The front is symmetrical with three windows and features a glazed door beneath a plain rectangular fanlight set in a stone case with a moulded cornice. The windows are 16-pane recessed sashes with wedge lintels and stone sills. There are two casements in the attics on each end gable, along with large gable chimneys. The farmhouse has broad eaves and bargeboarded verges, making it a good example of a simply expressed large farmhouse from its period. The interior has not been inspected.
