Description
The railing to the north side of the Middle Terrace is a panelled railing dating from around 1810, designed by William Porden for the 2nd Earl Grosvenor. It was removed from the west forecourt of the Hall and incorporated into Detmar Blow's east garden for the 2nd Duke of Westminster around 1911. The railing features a moulded plinth, buttressed piers, and shaped copings made of grey stone, which support cast iron Gothick panels. These panels include shields bearing coats of arms set within cusped quatrefoils. Similar railings can be found to the south of the terrace.
