Description
The retaining walls of the axial canal on the central terrace were built in 1911 by Detmar Blow for the 2nd Duke of Westminster. These walls are made of stone and outline a rectangular canal basin. The canal serves as the central feature along the east axis of the former Hall, as part of Detmar Blow's redesign of the east garden.
