Description
The retaining walls and paired flights of steps at the east end of the Central Terrace were built in 1911 by Detmar Blow for the 2nd Duke of Westminster. They are made of grey stone and red sandstone. The central section of the structure has a sinuous curve, with broad cobbled steps on each side that lead down to the Broad Walk. The outer parts of the wall, on the left and right of the steps, project outward and are constructed from red sandstone.
