Description

Bank Cottage is an early 17th-century cottage constructed with brick nogging on an oak frame, featuring a grey slate roof. The cottage has two storeys and three windows. A Victorian timber-framed gabled open porch shelters the six-panel front door. The windows are replaced six-pane casements, which are in keeping with the original character. A rebuild of the left gable is in brick, while the rear wall is of oak frame. A ridge chimney is positioned to the right of the door, and a flush gable chimney is located on the left. The interior of the cottage was not inspected. It is a much altered cottage; a section to the right, formerly part of Bank Cottage, is not considered to be of special interest.
