Description

This guidepost, likely dating from the 1870s, is made of cast iron and features an octagonal shaft. The shaft has "CCC" embossed in ornate letters on a raised shield. There are plates with raised margins and pecked corners that indicate directions to Malpas and Whitchurch in raised sans-serif capitals. Additionally, there is a renewed plate with a square end pointing to Oldcastle. The guidepost is topped with a ball finial.
