Description

Manor Farmhouse is a late 17th to early 18th century farmhouse, altered subsequently. It is constructed of rendered brick with stone dressings and has a steeply pitched concrete tile roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and cellars, and has three windows. It features replaced casement windows and a centrally placed door, with eaves dentils. Rendered stacks are located at the gable ends. The interior includes a rock-cut cellar with recessed shelves, and a boarded cellar door with a strap hinge. Stop-chamfered beams are also present. A sophisticated close string dog-legged staircase has twisted balusters, newels with recessed panels, a moulded cornice, finials, and pendants, a moulded rail, a string with a pulvinated frieze, and a coved cornice. Bolection moulded raised panels are situated above a Victorian grate and mantel in the angle of the northeast room.
