Description

The terrace walls located 70 meters north of Utkinton Hall date from around 1700 and are constructed from dressed, tooled sandstone blocks. These revetment walls extend from the southern and western boundaries to a terrace that was originally intended for a bowling green. They are part of a larger design for the house and gardens created for Sir John Crewe. The walls are included in the listing for their group value.
