Description

This is a parish boundary stone located 25 metres north of the footbridge over Long Lane in Upton-by-Chester. The stone is dated 1781 and is made of red sandstone. It has a rectangular shape with a shaped top that is divided down the middle. The west face features a line, with the letter "S" poorly cut to the left of the line and the letter "D" to the right. The date of 1781 is inscribed below.
