Description
Church View is a house dating from the early to mid 17th century. It features brick-nogged small framing set on a one-meter plinth of brick, with a roof that has been replaced with cement slates. The building has one and a half storeys and three windows. The original boarded door has been replaced and is located under a late 19th-century pentice porch supported by shaped brackets. The windows are nine-pane casements, and the one on the left side of the lower storey includes a cast-iron opening light. The bedroom windows are situated in oak-framed gabled dormers. There is a ridge chimney positioned to the right of the center, and evidence of a former doorway opposite the chimney indicates a lobby-entrance layout. Additionally, there is a small inserted chimney at the front left corner. The oak framing in the end gables is largely intact. The interior has not been inspected.
