Description

The table tomb of Mary and William Okell, dating from 1837, is located 6 metres south of the west bay of the nave of St. Peter's Church in Aston by Sutton. This stone tomb features fluted antae at the corners and has a recessed panel at each end. Each side has two recessed panels divided by a pilaster. The inscription reads, "IN MEMORY OF Mary, Wife of William Okell who died November 21st 1837 aged 33 years," and also commemorates Thomas, son of William Okell (1881), and Martha (1902).
