Description
The Old Windmill is a windmill that has been converted into a picture gallery-shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone later alterations. The structure is made of red brick laid in English Bond and features a slated cap. It has a circular plan and consists of a four-stage tapering tower, measuring approximately 10 meters in diameter at the base. The entrance is now located at the first-floor level, accessible by 12 steps leading to a railed balcony, with a garage situated below. Each floor includes two 2-light casement windows with glazing bars. The cap is boat-shaped and includes a gantry. Inside, all mill fixtures and fittings have been removed.
