Description
The tombchest of James Phillips, dated 1780, is located 2 meters south of the sundial in the churchyard of St Michael. It is made of red sandstone ashlar. The long sides feature two fielded panels separated by flutings, with additional flutings at the corners and a single panel on the short side. The top slab is adorned with a cyma-moulded cornice and an inscription in serifed lettering.
