Description
The former smithy, located south of Smithy Farm, is a late 19th-century building commissioned by the first Duke of Westminster. It is a simple rectangular, single-storey structure made of squared snecked red sandstone, topped with a gabled slate roof and featuring two brick chimneys. The front of the building has a pair of mullioned windows and boarded double doors leading into the smithy, with additional mullioned windows on the ends. The exposed shaped purlin ends add to its architectural character. The interior has not been inspected.
