Description
Rose Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is timber framed with brick and rendered infill, topped with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and features an entrance front with two bays. The close studding is accented with angle braces on the left and right sides, as well as to the left of the centre. A central gabled projecting porch from the 19th century has a thatched roof and timber framed walls. Flanking the porch are 3-light casement windows, also from the 19th century. The first floor has similar swept half-dormer windows. A central ridge stack is present. To the left, there is a single-storey addition from the late 17th or early 18th century, which has a roof made of corrugated asbestos sheeting. To the right, there is a lean-to addition from the 19th or 20th century.
