Description
The south and east garden wall up to the footpath gateway of Christleton House dates from around 1830, with some 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of orange brick in Flemish bond, featuring stone dressings. The south wall is lower on the left side and supports iron railings on a stone coping. On the right side, the wall retains its original height and has flat coping, rising above a stone gateway that includes a lintel with an ogee-sloped soffit and a 20th-century board gate. The wall turns to the east, where the original section ends in a bold ramp. The remainder of the east wall and the heavily restored gazebo are not included in this listing, which is noted for its group value only.
