Description

Blake House Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th and early 18th centuries. It is timber-framed with brick infill and a thatched roof. The front elevation features a portion to the right that dates from the late 17th century, constructed with five posts, angle struts to the left and right, and to the left of the central post. A doorway is located to the left, and a 2-light casement window sits to the right. To the left are five sections of small timber framing with a higher roofline, and a two-light casement window. Clasping buttresses define the corners of the building. Chimneys are situated on the centre of the ridge and the left hand gable end. At the rear, an outshut extends to the left, covered with a stone slate roof.
