Description
Sutton Lane Ends Bridge is a road bridge dated 1839, as indicated by the date stone inscribed with the names of surveyors Jon Smith, Jon Orme, and Wm Johnson. The bridge is constructed of coursed rubble and features a single elliptical arch made of voussoirs, with a projecting keystone and a hood-mould above. Above the arch, there is a rectangular date stone set in a frame. The parapet is made of larger stones, and the retaining walls on either side curve forward, terminating in projecting piers.
