Description

This is a house, originally a farmhouse, dating from 1720 and 1752, with later alterations and additions. The exterior is rendered brick, with sections of roof covered in Kerridge stone-slate and Welsh slate, and a brick chimney. The front is two storeys high and three bays wide. The left bay projects forward and is gabled; it features a segmental arch above a 24-pane sash window, with a 16-pane sash window above, and a plaque inscribed "GSB 1720" in the gable. A lean-to porch with a carved wooden lintel, reading "JMM 1752," shelters a studded board door in the central bay. The right bay has restored casement windows, and there is a single-storey addition on the right-hand side. The interior is reported to contain timber-framed partition walls and exposed ceiling beams.
