Description
Canal Bridge No. 84 is a farm bridge over the Macclesfield Canal, built around 1827 by William Crosley. It is constructed from yellow sandstone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The bridge features a single span with a horseshoe arch made of voussoirs and a projecting keystone that connects with the band below the parapet. The walls on either side are battered, and there are curved retaining walls that end in square piers. The top of the parapet has chamfered coping.
