Description
Wood Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in Wirswall. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and exhibits a Gothick style. The entrance front has three bays that are symmetrically arranged, with a central bay that slightly projects. This central bay is adorned with octagonal turrets at the corners, which taper down through offsets at the inter-floor level and culminate in lead spirelets. The entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a glazed surround. On either side of the door at ground floor level are cross windows that have Tudor hood moulds, and there are three similar windows on the first floor. The central gablet above the entrance has a shield set in a moulded square surround. There are ridge chimneys located to the right of centre and to the left. Attached to the left side of the main block is a low two-bay service wing. Each gable end of the main block features ashlar coping and kneelers.
