Description
The stables to the right of Ollerton House, along with the attached garden wall, date from around 1777. They are constructed from red English garden wall bond brick and feature a stone slate roof. The stable block is two storeys high, with the wall reaching approximately 6 to 8 feet.
On the road front, there is a segment-arched doorway to the left, which includes a keystone and stone hinge dressings. To the left on the first floor, there is a single-light window, and to the right, there is a square pitch hole. The right-hand ground floor and gable end wall have undergone 20th-century restoration.
The adjoining garden wall has chamfered stone coping and a segmental arch leading to the garden, also featuring a keystone and stone hinge dressings. Beyond the road front of the house, the wall drops to about 2 feet high and has a concave recession in the center, where it supports a cast iron railing.
