Description

Ollerton Lodge is a late 18th-century house located on School Lane in Oller ton. Constructed of red brick in stretcher bond with a slate roof, the house is three storeys high. The front elevation comprises three bays; a central doorway features a six-panel door set within a three-quarter glazed surround and a segmental fanlight. To the right of the doorway, there's a triple sash window with 3 x 4 panes, with smaller 1 x 4 panes on each side. A bow window is present to the left, originally containing a triple window on the ground floor, but now bricked up and featuring a smaller window with 3 x 3 panes. The first floor has central and right-hand sash windows with segmental heads, each containing 3 x 4 panes. A bow window on the left-hand side contains 3 x 4 panes with 1 x 4 panes to either side. The second floor features central and right-hand windows with 3 x 2 panes; the absence of second-floor windows on the left side creates a visual counterpoint between the floor heights. A modillion cornice runs above the windows. A two-storey, 19th-century rendered addition is set to the right of the original building.
