Description
Manor Farm House is a farmhouse built around 1870 as part of the Peckforton Estate. It is constructed of red brick and features a tile roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, including a slightly projecting gable. At the base, there is a stone plinth. The entrance consists of a studded door with false strap hinges and a rectangular transom light above, set within a brick porch that has sidelights. This porch features chamfered corner posts with arch bracing at the top and a gabled roof made of timbers, with brick infilling and a finial.
The ground floor has two to four-light Tollemache-style hexagonal cast iron lozenge windows with cambered arches and turning pieces. Similar windows are found in the gable and in two gabled half dormers on the first floor. The gable and dormer apexes contain timbers, although some brickwork is painted to resemble timber. The building also has shaped purlin ends and finials, and the chimneys are square with divided flues, rising from weathered stone bands at the ridge level.
