Description

This is a house with workshops, dating to approximately 1820, and later altered. It is now subdivided into flats. The building is constructed of brick, with a slate roof. A doorway is set within a moulded architrave featuring console brackets to the hood, and is located at the angle of the main block and a projecting wing to the left. There are 12-pane sash windows on the right-hand side of the building and on the upper floor. The rear elevation, facing Lowe Street, has a central round-arched window illuminating the stairwell, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. The projecting wing was likely originally used as weaving workshops, and has been largely refenestrated following conversion to flats.
