Description

Minshullhill Bridge, also known as Bridge No. 14, is a canal bridge built around 1830. It spans the Middlewich spur of the Shropshire Union Canal, connecting the Trent and Mersey Canal at Middlewich with the Shropshire Union Canal at Barbridge. The bridge features a skew arched soffite constructed in English Bond using hard burnt, mainly blue bricks, which rise from a level brick base that is 3 feet high. At the carriageway level, there is a stone band, and the parapet is topped with stone coping in English Garden Wall Bond, which curves slightly towards the end piers.
