Description

Stone Seat is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is built from coursed, squared, buff sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, and features a Welsh slate roof along with two stone chimneys. The building is two stories high with a symmetrical, two-bay front. The windows are three-light, tall, square-sectioned mullions that now contain casements with applied lead latticing. The heavy ashlar doorcase has pairs of long quoins and a flat hood supported by plain brackets above the lintel. Inside, there is a straight flight oak staircase and fitted cupboards with panelled doors on H-hinges.
