Description
Brook Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with a 19th-century addition to the front. It is constructed of red English garden wall bond brick with a slate roof. The house has three storeys. The front elevation has two bays, with a central gabled porch to the ground floor featuring a semi-circular arch. There are three-light, cambered-headed casement windows to either side of the porch, with moulded sills. The first floor has two similar windows, and the second floor has two two-light windows, all with moulded sills and cambered heads. At the rear, a staircase window extends through the first and second floors, with two three-light first-floor casement windows and two similar second-floor windows, also featuring moulded sills and cambered heads. 20th-century outbuildings are present at ground floor, including a conservatory. The left-hand gable end has stone quoins to the left and centre, indicating the original line of the 18th-century building. There are 19th-century casement windows to the ground floor, with one two-light window to the second floor.
