Description
The stable block, now used as schoolrooms, dates from around 1829. It features red-brown brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern and has a stone-slate roof. The building is two storeys high with six windows arranged symmetrically. A projecting central pediment-gable includes a blocked basket-arched entry with separated stone voussoirs. There is a brick plinth, and the wings have 2-light mullioned and transomed leaded casements, while the blocked archway contains two 1-light transomed casements. The structure has moulded brick cornices, a clock in the pediment, and an octagonal cupola with louvres that are blocked. There are also windows at the rear surrounding a small open court, and the interior has been altered.
