Description

East Lodge is a mid-19th century lodge built for C R B Legh. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond, with rock-faced buff sandstone dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features two brick chimneys in a Jacobean style. The lodge is single-storey with a three-bay front and has a stone plinth. The central bay is topped with a triangular stone-coped gable, which includes ball and obelisk finials. There is a semi-circular headed entrance to the porch, with a blank shield above it. To the right, there is a canted bay with single triangular headed lights that have label moulds and contain sashes. A similar light is found in the left end bay.
