Description
Jackson's Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with adaptations and additions from the 18th century. It is constructed of white-washed, coursed, squared sandstone rubble and features a Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge, and three brick chimneys. The building was originally rectangular in plan, with later additions to the right and rear. It has a two-storey, four-bay front. The windows are 20th-century, three-light wooden casements with applied lead glazing, set under plain stone lintels. The door is located towards the right, behind a 20th-century gabled porch, and there is an added bay to the right that is in keeping with the original structure.
