Description

Lyme Gate Cottage is an 18th-century house located on Buxton Road West in Disley. The house is constructed of white-washed and rendered rubble stone with sandstone dressings and has a Kerridge stone-slate roof, a stone ridge, and two stone chimneys. It has a long rectangular plan with small additions to the rear. The windows are two-light mullioned casements with eight panes to each window. A doorway is positioned to the left of the centre, featuring a plain stone surround and a simple flat entablature, now fitted with a 20th-century glass door.
