Description

Morley Drive, Bridge Number 74 is an accommodation bridge built in 1831 by W Crosley. It is constructed from coursed Keuper sandstone blocks and spans a section of the Macclesfield Canal in a cutting. The bridge is notably tall and features a horseshoe arch. It has battered abutments, a projecting arch keystone, and a carriageway band that also projects. The parapet is made of smaller blocks with square end piers and slightly curved projecting copings. Additionally, there are curved rubble approach walls.
