Description

Nos 112 to 116 on Welsh Row are former almshouses originally built in the 16th century. These timber-framed cottages have been largely reconstructed and altered into a single dwelling, although part of the original timber frame remains. The building is two storeys high and features five modern wood mullioned windows with central transoms that project on false brackets. There is a plain doorway with a tiled pentice hood, and the eaves and roof are modern with tiles. Nos 112 to 128 form a group.
