Description
Vardon Bridge is a bridge over the River Bollin, built in the late 18th century, with a parapet added in the late 19th century. It is constructed from pink sandstone ashlar. The bridge features a single segmental arch that springs from water level, flanked by simple pilasters. There is a slightly projecting course at road level, and each pilaster has a curving wing wall that ends in a plain column. Above these elements is a plain parapet with a rounded coping.
