Description

Laburnum Cottage is a house, originally a farmhouse and later a public house, dating partly from the late 17th century and the remainder from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a cement tile roof and two brick chimneys. The main part of the house is a symmetrical two-storey, three-bay front. The end bays have 16-pane sash windows with stone sills, the lower windows having cambered brick heads. A heavy wooden frame is set into a five-board door. To the left, set back and at a lower level, is a timber-framed bay with a two-light wooden casement window featuring small-pane rectangular glazing.

The building is listed for group value only.
