Description
A late 18th century detached house, set back from the road within extensive grounds, and formerly known as Mortlake House. The house is constructed of red brick with a stone plinth, and extends to two storeys. It has five sash windows, each with a flat brick arch and stone sills. A doorway is accompanied by later glazed doors and a porch constructed of stone in the Roman Doric style. A two-storey semi-circular bay window projects from the east side, and a moulded wood eaves cornice runs around the building, surmounted by a hipped slate roof. The interior features a plain, oval hall with an elliptical staircase. Woodlands, along with Danesford School and an obelisk located within the grounds of Danesford School, form a group. The date of listing 28.7.74 has been amended to 28.7.50.
