Description

The Congregational Church, built in 1876-1877 and designed by architect William Sugden of Leek, is a Grade II listed building. It is primarily in the Gothic style but includes some unconventional features. The church is constructed of stone and has a slate roof. It consists of a nave with an east gallery and a squat octagonal tower at the north-east corner. The entrance features a double portal with pointed arched doorways and linked gables, while the west end has a polygonal apse.
