Description

These are a pair of small houses located on Chapel Street, dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. They may originally have been a single dwelling. The houses are constructed of red brick and feature two storeys. They have three windows, which are mullioned and transomed casements, though these are not original and lack glazing bars. A small gable sits centrally, topped with a circular window. The front has two simple doorways, each with a ledged door. Brick eaves bands run along the roofline, and gabled ends are present. The roof is covered with old stone slates. These houses are part of a group with numbers 3 to 7 on the odd-numbered side of Chapel Street.
