Description
Greendale Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1760, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a Kerridge stone-slate roof with three brick chimneys. It has a double-pile plan and a symmetrical two-storey front with three bays. There is a raised band at the first-floor sill level. The upper windows are 16-pane sashes set in moulded surrounds. The end bays have long casements with marginal lights, also in moulded surrounds. The central entrance features a Roman Doric doorcase with a triangular pediment above a semi-circular fanlight that has radial glazing bars, leading to a six-panelled door. There are small 20th-century extensions on the left side and at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to have lost most of its original features.
