Description
The Bells of Peover is a public house dating from the early 18th century, with significant additions and alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed English garden wall bond brick and features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high.
The entrance front has a 19th-century porch located to the right of the centre. On either side of the porch, there are three-light 19th-century casement windows. To the left of the porch is a mezzanine window. The first floor has two 19th-century three-light windows that display heart and diamond patterns in their projecting headers.
To the left, there is a late 19th-century addition featuring a canted wooden bay on the ground floor and a three-light casement window above. To the right, another 19th-century addition includes a semi-octagonal bay with four-light windows on either side. The first floor also has two four-light gabled half-dormers.
The building is listed for its group value with the Church of St Oswald in Nether Peover, Vale Royal District.
