Description
The former haybarn, dating to the early 19th century, stands 35 metres west of Birtles Hall. Constructed of English garden wall bond orange brick, it features a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. The building is L-shaped. The west range's interior contains five semi-circular headed brick arches; three of these are now blocked and contain sash windows and a six-panelled door, associated with a now-deserted house. The south range has three similar arches. The building is listed for group value only.
