Description

The south and east terrace walls in front of Birtles Hall were built in the early 19th century for the Hibbert family, with some repairs made in the 20th century. They are constructed from buff sandstone and feature the same balustrading as the house, although some areas have been repaired. At intervals along the balustrade, there are gadrooned urns. The east wall includes two short flights of steps. These walls are listed for their group value.
