Description
Pale Farm is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a stone plinth, with whitewashed and rendered infill, and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high. The southeastern gable end displays close studding with a middle rail at the ground floor and a slight jetty at the first floor, which has six panels of chevron-patterned framing. The gable also has a slight jetty and includes a four-light 20th-century casement window with V-strutting. At the rear, there is close studding with a middle rail at the ground floor, featuring a 20th-century door and window. The first floor has eight cells of chevron-patterning with a 20th-century two-light window imposed. A 20th-century wing is attached to the right side. The road-facing front has 20th-century painted stucco that simulates the timber framing visible at the back.
