Description
Hollins Farm is a farmhouse from the mid-17th century that has been altered over time. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and has two storeys. The entrance front features a projecting plinth that is characteristic of the entire 17th-century building. On the left, there is a 19th-century lean-to porch with chamfered ashlar mullions, which are now rendered, and a Tudor hood-mould. Above the porch, there is a smaller 5-light window with a hood mould. To the left of the porch, there is a similar arrangement of 5-light mullioned windows beneath the gable. A 19th-century four-bay extension is located on the left side. On the right side, there is a 5-light window on the ground floor and a 3-light window from the 20th century on the first floor. At the rear, the left-hand ground floor window is now partially blocked; it originally had 5 lights and a Tudor hood mould. There is a similar smaller window in the gable on the first floor. The right side features 19th and 20th-century windows. Above the first-floor window on the right gable, there is a datestone crudely inscribed with "AUG 1830."
