Description
The British Waterways Office, located at Eanam Wharf, was built in the first quarter of the 19th century. This single-storey building features stone construction with an old flag roof and a cornice. It has a curved design at each end and is adorned with stone-mullioned windows and double sash windows. The rear side facing the street includes three 2-light stone-mullioned windows and a square loading bay. The British Waterways Office, along with No 50 (Canal House), Bank Cottage, warehouses, and a capstan, creates a notable group of canal architecture.
