Description
The railings, piers, lampholders, and statue at the east end of the Cathedral churchyard are made of cast iron and form a boundary around the churchyard. The railings are interrupted by square stone piers that feature iron lamp-holders. The central section of the railings expands into a curved stone balustrade that surrounds a statue of Queen Victoria, which stands on a tall plinth. This statue was created in 1905 by B Mackennal. These features, along with the Cathedral Gateway and nearby buildings at Nos 20, 28, 30, and 36 Church Street, contribute to a cohesive group of historical significance.
