Description

The walls and gate piers to the west of the Church of St Nicholas in West Boldon are a grade II listed structure. They consist of a dwarf retaining wall made of limestone rubble, topped with stone coping, which flanks the path leading from the main gate to the south porch. The gate piers are constructed from sandstone ashlar and feature an overthrow and lampholder made of wrought iron.
