Description

This is an early 19th-century house on the south side of Front Street, Tynemouth. The building is constructed of brick with a low moulded plinth, and has a Welsh slate roof. It is three storeys high and two bays wide. The front door, located in the first bay, is a six-panelled door with a traceried fanlight above. The door surround is round-headed with Greek key decoration and a keystone. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, except for a 20th-century window on the second floor, which has a wedge stone lintel and projecting stone sills. A chimney on the right end of the building has an ashlar cornice.
